Axl, Mer Kinases: Not All Bad, Study Says

Axl and Mer are oncogenic receptor tyrosine kinases. That much is clear. "They transform cells, and they play a role in migration, invasion and metastasis," Sourav Ghosh told BioWorld Today. As a result, several companies are developing inhibitors of Axl and Mer, including Rigel Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Bergenbio A/S.
