An Other News to Note item in the Oct. 1, 2002, issue of BioWorld Today failed to mention the favorable patent ruling granted Tufts-New England Medical Center was on "constitutively active" GPCRs. A Tufts official said it is the only broad-based patent covering constitutively active GPCRs, as a tool for drug discovery.

A story in the Sept. 30, 2002, issue of BioWorld Today should have identified the underwriters in Telik Inc.'s follow-on offering as UBS Warburg, Wachovia Securities, Legg Mason Wood Walker and Needham & Co. The company said other firms listed in the story were members of the underwriting syndicate.
