EMA fine-tunes plan to make trial data transparent

Despite industry pushback, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) is moving ahead with plans to open clinical trial data to all comers. Focusing on key principles approved at a board meeting last week, the agency said Tuesday it will continue to meet with industry and other stakeholders to “clarify and fine-tune the proposed rules to achieve the broadest possible consensus.”
