Nanotechnology is usually a great illustration of the old adage that as far as the media are concerned, there are two kinds of science stories: “Gee whiz” stories and “Oh crap” stories. But researchers from Johns Hopkins University have published new data on a nanotechnology particle that is much typical of how science actually progresses: through a long muddy slog toward bright potential.
