• Tivorsan Pharmaceuticals Inc., of Providence, R.I., said the Muscular Dystrophy Association awarded it $1 million to help speed preclinical work needed before filing an investigational new drug application for a recombinant humanized form of biglycan in Duchenne's muscular dystrophy (DMD).
