• Eli Lilly and Co., of Indianapolis, and Kowa Pharmaceuticals America Inc., of Montgomery, Ala., reported results from the PREVAIL (Pitavastatin compaREd with praVAstatin in Lowering LDL-C in the U.S.) study, which showed that Livalo (pitavastatin) 4 mg had superior LDL-C reduction compared with pravastatin 40 mg after 12 weeks of therapy.
