Daiichi Sankyo Co. Ltd., of Tokyo, said a marketing authorization application was submitted to the European Medicines Agency for its once-daily direct Factor Xa inhibitor, edoxaban, for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolic events in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation.
