Special Report: The Push to Contain Ebola Virus

Like other rare diseases, the development of vaccines and drugs to combat Ebola has been stymied by a lack of financial backing to move therapeutics through clinical trials. The patient populations weren't large enough. That may change given the current crisis. The size of the Ebola problem is changing. It has come from isolated areas into several African metropolises where it is impossible to isolate, and could quickly spread to far-flung regions.

Despite the slow advances, several companies have made strides. Gathered here is a collection of articles highlighting the most innovative research BioWorld has covered in recent years, along with our latest reports.

Also included are relevant articles from Medical Device Daily, the news source of record for the medical technology industry. This business-focused intelligence service is the flagship publication of BioWorld's med-tech group.
