Therapies Target Master Regulator of Blood Vessel Growth

LONDON – A new understanding of the molecular control of angiogenesis – the process by which new blood vessels grow – could lead to new therapies aimed at blocking tumor growth. ELTD1, whose role has been identified by a team at the University of Oxford and a multinational group of collaborators, appears to be crucial for angiogenesis, along with a group of other molecules, which remain to be explored further.
