SAN DIEGO – Steve Ubl is changing gears somewhat in his career as an association executive, but he hinted at some wistfulness in his last appearance at the AdvaMed annual meeting. Ubl said his departure "is bittersweet," adding, "after 16 years, I feel like I've grown up with the device industry." Nonetheless, he said the big targets for the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed; Washington) will be the same going forward, stating, "it's time to finish the job and close the deal on device tax repeal."
