A Medical Device Daily Staff Report

Life Medical Technologies (Fishkill, New York) said that it would receive a $2 million grant in the form of state money and incentives for moving its headquarters and operations to Hudson Valley Research Park.

The company moved into Building 320 this month and is expected to create 250 jobs in three years.

Life Medical produces a device to detect breast cancer, called the BreastCare DTS, and plans to begin production in East Fishkill early next year, according to the company.

The BreastCare DTS has been cleared by the FDA as an adjunct to mammography and other procedures.
