• BioClinica (Newtown, Pennsylvania) has named John Hubbard as CEO and a member of the board of directors. Hubbard will join the company from Pfizer, where he has served as senior VP and worldwide head of development operations. Hubbard will assume the CEO position on January 5. BioClinica is a provider of speciality outsourced clinical trial services.

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) selected John Flynn. a nationally prominent specialist in pediatric orthopedic surgery, as its new chief of the Division of Orthopedic Surgery. Flynn has served as the associate chief of Orthopedic Surgery at CHOP since 2005, in one of the nation's largest and most active pediatric orthopedic centers, one with a 120-year history of caring for children. Flynn succeeds John Dormans, who has led the Division of Orthopedic Surgery for the past 18 years. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia was founded in 1855 as the nation's first pediatric hospital.

• Dornier MedTech America (Atlanta) has named Jeff Howell as VP of sales and business development. Jeff is an established figure in the urology industry with 30 years of experience. The first 20 years of his career was spent in various capacities at Dornier MedTech where he was instrumental in the growth of the company. Dornier MedTech specializes in both the urology and medical- laser markets.

• Healthx (Indianapolis) said its board named Sal Gentile as the company's new CEO. Gentile most recently held the position of president, Large Payer Market at The TriZetto Group. Healthx is a platform used by healthcare payers and provider organizations to power their digital strategies.

• IntriCon (Arden Hills, Minnesota) has named Delain Wright, to VP of business development, value hearing health. Prior to joining IntriCon as a consultant in July 2013, he served as president/CEO of America Hears. IntraCon makes miniature and micro-miniature body-worn devices

• Lombard Medical (Irvine, California) named William Kullback as chief financial officer. Most recently, Kullback was partner, chief financial officer and chief compliance officer of Integris. Lombard Medical is focused one endovascular aneurysm repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms

• NextCODE Health (Cambridge, Massachusetts) has named C Thomas Caskey as senior VP for medical science and diagnostics. Caskey, who is professor of molecular and human genetics at Baylor School of Medicine and founder of its Medical Genetics Laboratories, will also serve as the founding member and chair of NextCODE's scientific advisory board. NextCode provides a system for applying genome sequence data.
