I-Therapeutix now called Ocular Therapeutix

I-Therapeutix (Waltham, Massachusetts) reported that it has changed its corporate name to Ocular Therapeutix. Amar Sawhney, president/CEO, said "the company's new name more clearly articulates our mission in the ophthalmic marketplace as we pursue FDA clearance for our first product, the I-ZIP Ocular Bandage and develop ocular drug delivery therapies."

The company has launched a new website, www.ocutx.com. Ocular Therapeutix is focused on the development and commercialization of ophthalmic therapeutic products using its hydrogel technology.

Insulet one of the fastest growing companies

Insulet (Bedford, Massachusetts) said it has been recognized by The Boston Business Journal as one of the fastest-growing public companies in Massachusetts.

The Boston Business Journal's rankings of the fastest-growing public companies were based on revenue growth from 2006 through 2008. During this period, Insulet experienced 884% in revenue growth. Additionally, Insulet was ranked as the company with the third largest one-year increase in revenue.
