Avalon Healthcare (Tampa) has signed a provider agreement with Sarasota Memorial Hospital, according to Charles O'Neill, Avalon's CEO. The agreement became effective July 1.
The hospital is part of the Sarasota Memorial Health System, a not-for-profit healthcare system serving the Southwest Florida region. The Health System cares for more than 400,000 people each year.
"A direct relationship with Sarasota Memorial allows Avalon to offer competitive rates to consumers in Sarasota and surrounding communities giving them another quality healthcare insurance option," O'Neill said. "It also provides members with lower cost, direct access to exceptional quality care in Sarasota."
"The addition of Sarasota Memorial to our growing network means that Avalon is now close to completing our hospital build-out on the west coast of Florida," added O'Neill.
"We look forward to working with Avalon Healthcare to meet the healthcare needs of their members through our comprehensive array of quality inpatient and outpatient services," said Sarasota Memorial CEO David Verinder.
