• The Premier (Charlotte, North Carolina) healthcare alliance reported that Carolyn Scott, RN, has joined Premier as VP of performance improvement and quality and will oversee QUEST, a nationwide hospital quality and cost improvement collaborative. Scott previously was director of healthcare advisory services at KPMG. Premier is a comprehensive repository of clinical, financial and outcomes information and operates a healthcare purchasing network.

Soon-Shiong is founder and chairman of Abraxis BioScience and executive chairman/CEO of Abraxis Health.
