Ronald Verni has been named non-executive director of Craneware (Atlanta). Verni was most recently CEO of Corrigo. Craneware is a software service company.

Ivan Delevic was named senior VP of strategic marketing and business development for Mako Surgical (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). Delevic most recently was a business development consultant for various medical device companies. Mako Surgical makes a robotic arm interactive orthopedic surgical platform and orthopedic knee implants.

• Perlegen Sciences (Mountain View, California) said that it has added positions to its commercial team in preparation for the launch of its lead product, MammaPLUS, a breast cancer risk stratifier. Susan Billat was named director of product marketing, and Frank Strauss was named director of managed care. Billat previously was senior product manager at Monogram Biosciences. Strauss was director of women's health and health plans for Adeza Biomedical.

Lee Potts was named a project director for Regulatory Presentation Management (RPM; Research Triangle Park, North Carolina). Most recently, Potts worked with Merck scientific/regulatory teams as they prepared for and presented at FDA ACMs. RPM helps medical, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies present to FDA advisory committees.
