Michael Reinhardt has been named VP of marketing for ATS Medical (Minneapolis). Reinhard previously served in senior management level positions at other medical technology companies including Ethicon Endosurgery, Boston Scientific/Scimed, CR Bard, and St. Jude Medical. ATS Medical makes products for heart valve disease therapy and surgical ablation of cardiac arrhythmias.

• Bellus Health (Laval, Quebec) said that VP of finance and CFO Mariano Rodriguez will leave the company, effective May 22. Bellus Health intends to fill the vacant position on an interim basis while a new senior financial executive is recruited. Bellus Health specializes in products to provide health solutions to address critical unmet needs.

Bryan Russo was named chief commercial officer of InfuSystem (Madison Heights, Michigan). Previously, Russo was regional VP of sales at Gentiva Health Services. InfuSystem is a provider of ambulatory infusion pumps and associated clinical services.

• Vasogen (Mississauga, Ontario) said that Eldon Smith, MD, will succeed Terrance Gregg as chairman of its board following Gregg's retirement. Smith, a Vasogen board member since 1998, is professor emeritus at the University of Calgary, where he was the dean of the faculty of medicine. Vasogen specializes in therapies that target the inflammatory process associated with the development of cardiovascular and neuro-inflammatory disorders.

Oliver Burckhardt has been named president/CEO of Scient'x Groupe (Paris). Burckhardt previously was president of Orthofix Spine. Scient'x makes spinal implants.
