Jeffrey Smith has resigned from the board of directors of Kensey Nash (Exton, Pennsylvania). Smith, who is a partner and portfolio manager at Ramius LLC, became a director of Kensey Nash in December 2007 and was a member of the corporate governance and nominating committee as well as a member of the strategic planning committee. Kensey Nash provides a range of products into multiple medical markets, primarily sports medicine, spine and endovascular.

David Sneider was named CFO of Nerites (Madison, Wisconsin). Most recently, Sneider was CFO of NimbleGen Systems. Nerites makes synthetic bio-adhesives that can enhance natural tissue repair, reduce postoperative complications, and degrade safely when they are no longer needed.

Gisela Orth was named VP of global human resources for Qiagen (Venlo, the Netherlands). Orth most recently was head of HR for Continental. Qiagen is a holding company specializing in sample and assay technologies.
