Matthew Margolies was named senior VP of sales for CardioNet (Conshohocken, Pennsylvania). Margolies joins CardioNet from Cardinal Health, where he most recently was VP of sales for the respiratory care division. CardioNet is a wireless medical technology company with an initial focus on the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiac arrhythmias.

Scott Bland was named VP of sales for Celera's (Alameda, California) subsidiary, Berkeley HeartLab (BHL). Most recently, Bland was a regional business advisor for Allergan Pharmaceuticals. BHL offers services to predict cardiovascular disease risk and improve patient management.

Rusty Reed was named CFO of Celerus Diagnostics (Carpinteria, California). Reed also is a managing partner with Great Pacific Capital. Celerus Diagnostics provides technological solutions designed to enhance the diagnostic capabilities of the anatomic pathology laboratory, provide clinicians with rapid, reliable, actionable diagnostic information, and advance patient care.

John Lightfoot was named chief technology officer of MedVentive (Waltham, Massachusetts). Lightfoot most recently was North American CTO for Orion Health. MedVentive says it provides an advanced business and clinical intelligence platform combined with a fully integrated, modular suite of applications to support pay for performance programs, physician efficiency profiling and information-sharing, quality intervention, pharmacy management, and point-of-care decision support tools.

Paul Steed, PhD, was named VP of R&D of NanoVector (Raleigh, North Carolina). Most recently, Steed was head of biology for Serenex. NanoVector makes biologic-based nanoparticle drug delivery systems for the cancer therapeutics market.

Richard Pino was named CFO of Scarguard Labs (Great Neck, New York). Pino previously was CFO/COO for EcoSys Management. Scarguard Labs specializes in the treatment of scars and other dermatological problems.
