• Anulex Technologies (Minneapolis) said that its board has named Richard Lunsford as president/CEO and shareholders have elected him to the board. Lunsford most recently was senior VP and president of U.S. commercial operations at ev3. Anulex Technologies focuses on spinal disc preservation and anular repair products.

Tim Coressel was named VP of engineering and R&D of BioMedical Technology Solutions Holdings (Englewood, Colorado). Coressel brings more than 26 years of experience in medical devices, custom software development, business development and sales and distribution. BioMedical Technology Solutions Holdings sells and leases devices through its subsidiary, BioMedical Technology Solutions, that convert infectious biomedical waste into non-biohazardous material using the Demolizer II technology.

Gary Zweiger, PhD, was named VP of business development for BioNanomatrix (Philadelphia). Prior to joining BioNanomatrix, Zweiger was senior director of business development at Affymetrix. BioNanomatrix makes nanoscale whole genome imaging and analytic platforms for applications in genetic diagnostics, personalized medicine and biomedical research.

• China Sky One Medical (Harbin, China) said that Yu-bo (Stanley) Hao was named CFO/secretary and also will serve on the company's board. He replaces Yu-kun Zhang, who was interim CFO since June. Zhang is staying on as finance and accounting manager. Hao has been employed at China Sky One in various capacities since June.

Peter Pfreundschuh was named CFO of CircuLite (Saddle Brook, New Jersey). Most recently, Pfreundschuh was executive director of business development and licensing at AstraZeneca. CircuLite makes minimally invasive devices for long-term circulatory support.

Deb Bradley has been named VP/chief client solution executive at D2Hawkeye (Waltham, Massachusetts). Bradley joins D2Hawkeye from The TriZetto Group. D2Hawkeye provides healthcare data service solutions including data mining, decision support, clinical quality analysis, and risk analysis tools.

Gregory Bender has been named VP of the healthcare business unit of NanoHorizons (State College, Pennsylvania). Bender most recently was director of corporate accounts for Enturia. NanoHorizons is a privately held company providing medical devices and drugs to the healthcare sector.

• Royal Philips Electronics (Andover, Massachusetts) has named Eric Silfen, MD, senior VP/chief medical officer for Philips Healthcare. Dr. Silfen joins Philips Healthcare from the department of biomedical informatics research at Philips Research North America. Royal Philips Electronics specializes in electronic and healthcare devices.
