• Applied NeuroSolutions (Vernon Hills, Illinois) reported the appointment of Gary Parks, a finance and pharmaceutical industry executive, to its board, replacing Robert Vaters, who resigned due to an increase in his external business commitments. Since 1993, Parks has served as secretary/treasurer/CFO of Immtech Pharmaceuticals. Applied NeuroSolutions is focused on the development of an integrated product portfolio for the treatment and diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.

Rajeev Agarwal has been named VP of global customer care at BioImagene (Cupertino, California). Previously, Agarwal was with GE Healthcare for more than seven years in its HealthCare IT and Diagnostic Imaging businesses. BioImagene makes digital pathology solutions for clinical diagnostics and drug discovery.

• Card Guard (Chicago) has named Mike Fiorito as chief sales and marketing officer of LifeWatch Services. In addition, Card Guard announced two additional changes in group management responsibilities. Brent Atwood, former executive VP of sales & marketing, was promoted to COO of LifeWatch Services and Roger Richardson, former president/COO of LifeWatch Services, retires from group management and will serve as an advisor for LifeWatch Services. Fiorito most recently led the U.S. Northeast business unit at Cerner. LifeWatch, a subsidiary of Card Guard, is an independent provider of ambulatory cardiac monitoring services and a manufacturer and distributor of ambulatory cardiac and vital signs monitoring devices in the U.S.
