Carol Adiletto has been named VP of clinical and regulatory affairs for BG Medicine (BGM; Waltham, Massachusetts). Previously, Adiletto was senior VP of clinical operations and regulatory affairs at WorldCare Clinical. BGM is a developer of molecular diagnostics.

Dorin Panescu, PhD, has been named chief technical officer/VP of R&D at NewCardio (Santa Clara, California). Panescu most recently was director of technology development at St. Jude Medical. NewCardio is a cardiac diagnostic and services company. The company also reported the hiring of three key executives to complete the company's client services team. Greg Sadowski was named senior VP of client services, Kathleen Walsh VP of product management and Gilbert Molina director of corporate systems. Sadowski previously was senior VP of electronic patient reported outcomes at eResearchTechnology (eRT). Walsh also joins NewCardio from eRT, where she was VP of project management, while Molina most recently was IT manager there. NewCardio makes 3-D electrocardiography products.

Jake Orville was named president/CEO of Prognostix (Cleveland), a Cleveland Clinic spin-out company focused on cardiovascular disease diagnostics. Orville most recently was VP of global sales for NextGen Sciences.

Pamela Weagraff has been named VP of regulatory and quality at T2 Biosystems (Cambridge, Massachusetts). Weagraff most recently was principal consultant with Quintiles Consulting. T2 makes portable medical diagnostic products combining nanotechnology and miniaturized MRI technology.
