Michael Kujak has been named VP of marketing at Celleration (Eden Prairie, Minnesota). Most recently, Kujak was a member of the management team that successfully sold Restore Medical to Medtronic. Celleration makes the MIST system, which uses ultrasound to heal wounds.

• Neovasc (Vancouver, British Columbia) reported appointments to newly created marketing and sales positions. Cynthia Roney was named vice president of marketing and Sean Moore vice president of sales. Roney previously was president/CEO of Xillix Technologies, which was acquired by Novadaq Technologies. Prior to Xillix, she managed sales of cardiac devices at Physio-Control, later acquired by Medtronic. Sean Moore was director of sales at Medical Ventures Corp. Prior to that, he helped establish a direct sales operation in Canada as an area manager at ConMed. Neovasc is a new specialty vascular device company comprised of the former Medical Ventures, Neovasc Medical Ltd. and B-Balloon Ltd.

Ravi Pawa, PhD, was named medical advisor at Synexus (Manchester, UK), joining John Robinson, PhD, senior medical advisor, in the newly created Global Medical Affairs Department. Pawa has worked for Synexus for four years, most recently as clinical director of the Lancashire Research Center. Synexus specializes in the recruitment and running of clinical trials at its own dedicated research centers.
