Robert Khederian has resigned as a director of Cambridge Heart (Tewksbury, Massachusetts). Cambridge Heart makes products for the non-invasive diagnosis of cardiac disease, particularly the identification of those at risk of sudden cardiac arrest.

David Barkay was named VP/GM, international of Immersion (San Jose, California). Barkay is former president/CEO of Simbionix Corp., the parent of Simbionix Ltd., which he co-founded in 1997. Immersion makes computer-based surgical simulation training systems.

Ian Paling was elected as a board member and chairman of Inion (Tampere, Finland), replacing Dr. G ran Ando, who has stepped down from the board. Inion makes biodegradable medical implants.

Eric Loukas has been appointed CEO of Milestone Biosciences (Altamonte Springs, Florida). Current president/CEO and co-founder Frank Jacobucci will become president/COO and will continue to be involved in the company's development, growth and expansion. Prior to joining Milestone, Loukas was executive VP, COO, general counsel and corporate secretary of MGI Pharma. Milestone Biosciences is a specialty biotechnology company focused on in-licensing and commercialization of niche oncology products.
