• Michael Thibdeau, CPA, has been named chief information officer for HVHC (Pittsburgh). Thibdeau formerly was senior VP and chief information officer for Davis Vision. HVHC operates more than 500 retail stores in 36 states.

• Larry Hambleton has been named VP of sales and marketing for Micronics (Redmond, Washington). Previously, Hambleton was director of product marketing at Cepheid. Micronics makes molecular diagnostics for point-of-care detection of infectious diseases.

• Robin Gibbs has been named VP of marketing for North American Scientific (NAS; Chatsworth, California). Gibbs was previously a VP of global franchise management for Edwards Lifesciences. NAS develops products for delivering local radiation therapy for cancer.

• Alan Fletcher, PhD, has been named VP, business development for the Life and Analytical Sciences business of PerkinElmer (Waltham, Massachusetts). Fletcher previously held multiple positions at GE Healthcare in that company's life science and discovery businesses. PerkinElmer specializes in health sciences and photonics.

• David Mulvaney, MD, has been named medical affairs director for Vascular Technologies (St. Petersburg, Florida). Mulvaney has practiced general and thoracic surgery as well as emergency medicine in Florida. Vascular Technologies' manufactures the Ultroid system, a hemorrhoid and varicose vein treatment.
