• Bruker AXS (Madison, Wisconsin) said it has increased the number of its support engineers by more than 30%. Larry Hanright, a specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the support of analytical X-ray systems for biological diffraction, has joined Bruker. Bruker is a global provider of X-ray solutions for industrial analysis, life science and advanced materials research.

Austin Noll has been named new president/CEO of NeoGuide Systems (Los Gatos, California), a developer of the NeoGuide Endoscopy System. Previously, Noll held leadership positions at Medtronic over a 13-year period. Amir Belson, MD, company founder and inventor of the company's technology, will remain full-time with NeoGuide as a board member and chief technology officer.

Michele Migliuolo, PhD, has been added to the management team at the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse (PLSG; Pittsburgh). Previously, Migliuolo worked briefly with the PLSG as an executive associate. The PLSG is a public/private partnership, founded by the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, UPMC Health System, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its regional foundation community. PLSG invests in and supports the growth of regional life sciences companies in the areas of: bioinformatics; bionanotechnology; diagnostics; medical devices; medical robotics; therapeutics; and tools and services.
