Michael Poelking has been named CFO for Inviro Medical Devices (Atlanta). Poelking most recently served as senior vice president and CFO of GF Health Products. Additionally, Michael Atkinson has been named executive vice president, distributor sales for Inviro. Formerly, he served as president of SafePro. Inviro recently entered into an exclusive, long-term agreement to sell, market and distribute SafePro safety syringes in the U.S. and Canada. Inviro develops medication delivery systems, including the InviroSNAP! Safety Syringe.

• Kimball Genetics (Denver) reported the appointment of Dr. Annette Taylor, PhD, its resident/CEO, to the Genomic Medicine Program Advisory Committee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs , a new committee formed to help the VA develop policies for using genetic information for the medical care of veterans and to enhance development of tests and treatments for diseases common among veterans. The first of three annual meetings took place Oct. 16 in Washington. Kimball Genetics is a diagnostic laboratory specializing in testing for common genetic disorders.

Ed Kuklenski has been named president/CEO of Suture Express (Lenexa, Kansas), a distributor of suture and wound closure products. Kuklenski recently concluded a 17-year career with Child Health Corporation of America where he was senior vice president of shareholder services. Kuklenski has also served on the board of the Alliance of Children’s Hospitals, the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation, Children’s Medical Ventures, Enterprise Center of Johnson County, I-Life Systems, K.C. Bioholdings, Medibuy, National Contracts, Promedix and VMI Medical.
