Mark Tucker, MD, has been elected president, and Lee Pollan, MD, has been named president-elect of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS; Rosemont, Illinois). In addition to his private practice, Tucker has been chief, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Section of the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital (Tampa, Florida). Pollan has been in private practice in Rochester, New York, and is an associate professor of dentistry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and the director of the oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at the University of Rochester. The AAOMS represents more than 8,000 oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the U.S.

Robert Mitchell has been hired as executive vice president and chief operating officer of AngioDynamics .(Queensbury, New York), a new position at the company. Previously, Mitchell was president/CEO and director for Millimed Holdings. AngioDynamics provides medical devices for the minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease.
