Daniel Gomez has been named director of engineering for Bio-Matrix Scientific Group (San Diego). Most recently, Gomez was president of Collective Technologies. Bio-Matrix makes monitoring systems for the stem cell research market.

William Radany, PhD, has been named CEO of HTG (Tucson, Arizona). Previously Radany was vice president of business segment management at Chemicon International (Temecula, California). HTG provides array-based gene expression assay technology.

Kurt Kruger has been appointed CFO of Cyberkinetics Neurotechnology Systems (Foxborough, Massachusetts). Previously, Kruger was with Banc of America Securities and Hambrecht & Quist, where he served as managing director and medical technology research analyst. Cyberkinetics develops neural stimulation, sensing, and processing technology to treat spinal cord injuries, neurological, and other nervous system disorders.

Maureen Lamb has been named vice president, CFO and treasurer of Kyphon (Sunnyvale, California). Lamb comes to Kyphon from Photon Dynamics where she was CFO. Alexandre DiNello will join Kyphon as vice president, research and development. DiNello previously held research and development roles at Abbott Spine, OmniSonics Medical Technologies and DePuy Spine. Kyphon makes products to restore spinal function using minimally invasive technologies.

Jonathon Singer has been named senior vice president - treasurer, secretary and CFO of Landauer (Glenwood, Illinois). Singer most recently was vice president global finance, CFO for Teleflex Medical, a subsidiary of Teleflex. Landauer provides analytical services to determine occupational and environmental radiation exposure.
