Alan Donze has joined IsoTis OrthoBiologics (Irvine, California) as vice president, sales. From 1991 until recently, Donze served as vice president and general manager of Stryker Communications and managed Stryker's Endoscopic Services program. Donze replaces Jim Abraham, who recently left the company to operate a start-up opportunity in spine technology. IsoTis OrthoBiologics makes natural and synthetic bone graft substitutes.

Arthur Taylor has been promoted to chief operating officer of Kyphon (Sunnyvale, California). Taylor has served as vice president, CFO and treasurer since August 2004 and will continue to serve in that role until a successor is hired. Kyphon develops medical devices designed to restore spinal function using minimally invasive technologies.

Jesse McCorvey has been named to the newly created post of vice president, corporate communications for Life Therapeutics (Atlanta). McCorvey served as director, public and investor relations with the company since it moved from Australia to the U.S. in 2004. Life Therapeutics is made up of four divisions: Life Sera, Life Gels, Life Diagnostics and Life Manufacturing, with manufacturing operations in both the U.S. and Australia and 13 plasma donor centers in eight American states.

Dorothy Cipolla has joined LightPath Technologies (Orlando, Florida) as vice president and CFO. Cipolla has served as a CFO for both public and private companies, most recently for LaserSight. LightPath manufactures optical products including precision molded aspheric optics, Gradium glass products, proprietary collimator assemblies, laser components, optical assemblies and packing solutions.
