Dr. Ralph Holsworth Jr. has been appointed to the managing director team of Rheologics (Exton, Pennsylvania), a subsidiary of Rheologics Technologies and developer of the Rheolog blood viscometer. Prior to joining Rheologics, Holsworth served as president of N-ZymeCeuticals. He also served as medical staff officer at Jicarilla Indian Health Service, Public Health Service.

Nick Nance, former operations coordinator for the FDA's Denver District Investigations Branch, has joined Reglera (Denver), a national regulatory consulting and outsourcing firm specializing in the medical device and human cellular tissue industry. During the span of Nance's 30-year career with the FDA, he performed audits of more than 350 medical device manufacturers and served as a national trainer for FDA inspectors.

• Third Wave Technologies (Madison, Wisconsin) reported changes to the company's management team associated with last month's succession of Kevin Conroy to president and CEO. Maneesh Arora, senior vice president of commercial operations, will begin transitioning to the position of CFO, to be completed by mid-March. James Herrmann will remain with the company as its principal financial officer through the filing of its annual report to effect a smooth transition. Gregory Hamilton, who has served as the company's executive director of planning and administration, has been appointed vice president of finance. John Bellano has been appointed vice president of sales. He succeeds Jake Orville, who will transition to a new role in the company. Bellano joined Third Wave in February as regional vice president of sales from Roche Diagnostics. Third Wave develops molecular diagnostics for a variety of DNA and RNA analysis applications.
