Gregory Hare has joined Guardian Technologies International (Herndon, Virginia) as CFO. He replaces Bill Donovan, who recently was appointed Guardian s president and chief operating officer. From May 2001 until last month, Hare served as a financial executive of Jane Cosmetics. Guardian Technologies uses high-performance imaging technologies and advanced analytics to create integrated information management products and services.

Chris Busky has been named chief operating officer of the Heart Rhythm Society (Washington), the professi-onal society for allied specialties of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology. Busky spent the past two years as executive vice president and chief operating officer with Association Management Group, Washington s largest association management firm.

Matthew Posard has been named vice president of marketing with Illumina (San Diego). Most recently, he spent more than six years in various sales and marketing director positions at Biosite. Illumina develops next-generation tools for the large-scale analysis of genetic variation and function.

Christopher Wagner has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing at MDS Nordion (Ottawa, Ontario), a supplier of radioisotopes, radiation and related technologies. Wagner joins MDS Nordion with nearly 30 years of global sales and marketing experience, most recently with Tyco Healthcare/Mallinckrodt.

Woodrin Grossman has been appointed senior vice president-strategy and development, a new position at Odyssey HealthCare (Dallas). As a result of the appointment, Grossman has resigned as a member of the company s board of directors. Grossman retired as a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers and chairman of its Global Healthcare Practice in July 2005 after 37 years of service with the firm. Odyssey is an operator of about 80 hospice locations throughout the country.
