• Patricia Bowman has joined Synova Healthcare (Media, Pennsylvania) as vice president, marketing. Bowman brings more than 15 years of marketing management experience to Synova, most recently as a consultant for companies like GlaxoSmithKline. Synova Healthcare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Synova Healthcare Group, distributes rapid, non-invasive medical diagnostics to retail for over-the-counter use, and directly to healthcare providers for point-of-care use in the clinical setting.

• Phillip Sowa was named CEO for Park Plaza Hospital, part of Tenet's (Dallas) Texas-Gulf Coast Region. Sowa was previously CEO at Meadowcrest Hospital, a Tenet facility that is part the NOLA Regional Health Network. Park Plaza Hospital and Medical Center, part of Tenet Texas, is a 446-bed acute care facility that has been serving the medical and healthcare needs of the Houston area for 30 years.

• John Rooney has been named vice president of marketing at Terumo Interventional Systems (Somerset, New Jersey). Rooney most recently was director of marketing at Roche Diagnostics. Terumo Interventional Systems, a business unit of Terumo Medical, sells guidewires, catheters, introducer sheaths and embolization products for use in interventional procedures. Rooney is playing a role in the expansion of Terumo's marketing capabilities as it takes back distribution of its interventional products, including Glidewire guidewires, Glidecath catheters and Pinnacle introducer sheaths, as the company ends a 15-year relationship with Boston Scientific, which has provided marketing, sales and distribution of Terumo's vascular interventional products.

• Eric Boduch has been named vice president of marketing for Vitria Technology (Sunnyvale, California). Before joining Vitria, Boduch founded ProductSoft and served as CEO of Cerebellum software. Vitria is a provider of business process integration products and solutions.

• Dwayne Dixon has joined Zassi Medical Evolutions (Fernandina Beach, Florida) as vice president of marketing. Dixon's marketing and sales experience includes positions Johnson & Johnson, Becton Dickinson and Sherwood Davis & Geck. Zassi Medical Evolutions makes the Zassi Bowel Management System and gastrointestinal access devices.
