• Perry Johnston has joined Aperio Technologies (Vista, California) as vice president of legal, regulatory and compliance. Johnston joins Aperio from the Nevada Cancer Institute, where he served as vice president and general counsel. Aperio Technologies is focused on virtual microscopy systems and digital pathology.

• Jerry Williams has been named senior vice president of physician and institutional relations for Cook Medical (Bloomington, Indiana). Williams, a 29-year veteran of Cook, most recently served as the company's regional sales manager for California and the Northwest. Cook is a leading manufacturer of minimally invasive medical device technology for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

• Steve Gannon has resigned as CFO of CryoCath Technologies (Montreal), a manufacturer of cryotherapy products to treat cardiovascular disease, effective Feb. 24. The Finance and IT groups will report to Director of Finance Mike Bridges while a search is conducted for a new CFO.
