Tom McLaughlin has been promoted to the position of vice president-North America imaging sales, forE-Z-EM(Lake Success, New York). McLaughlin has served the company in a series of positions since 1989, beginning as a territory sales manager for Philadelphia and later as Eastern District sales manager. Most recently, he served as senior director-North America sales. E-Z-EM manufactures contrast agents for gastrointestinal radiology. The company recently introduced VoLumen, a low-density barium sulfate suspension for use as an oral contrast in multidetector CT and PET/CT studies.

Bret Jorgensen has been appointed president and CEO of InSight Health Services Holdings (Lake Forest, California). He also will be elected to the company’s board of directors. Michael Cannizzaro, president and CEO of InSight since August 2004, will remain chairman of the board. Jorgensen previously was CEO of AdvoLife, a provider of home-based long-term eldercare services. He was a co-founder of TheraTx, a diversified healthcare services company. InSight Health Services provides diagnostic imaging and information, treatment and related management services. It serves managed care entities, hospitals and other contractual customers in 35 states.

Jonah Aburrow-Jones has been named to the newly created position of product and accounts manager for Medicsight plc (London). He has more than 12 years of product management and sales experience, most recently serving as senior product line manager for the Voxar Product Group of Barco. Prior to Barco, he was product manager - International for E-Z-EM, an international manufacturer of contrast agents for gastrointestinal radiology. Medicsight is a software development business focused on the medical imaging market. The company is using its core technology to develop automatic detection and analytical tools for clinicians to improve their ability to diagnose and treat disease, initially focusing on three key clinical areas – lung cancer, colon cancer, and coronary heart disease.
