• Lucia Luce Quinn has been named executive vice president of human resources for Boston Scientific (Natick, Massachusetts). Prior to joining Boston Scientific in January, she served as senior vice president of Quest Diagnostics.

• Donald Stewart, vice president-finance and administration and CFO of RITA Medical Systems (Fremont, California), will resign from the company to pursue ther business interests when a suitable replacement can be found. Stewart will remain as CFO during the recruiting and transition periods. Stewart joined the company in 2001 as vice president-finance and administration and CFO, and served as interim CEO in 2003. RITA Medical makes radio frequency ablation systems for treating cancerous tumors as well as percutaneous vascular and spinal access systems.

• Richard Juelis has been named vice president, finance and CFO of World Heart (Oakland, California). Over the past 15 years, he has served as CFO at Xoma, Vivus and most recently at Cellegy Pharmaceutical. World Heart is the maker of the Novacor LVAS pulsatileflow heart pump.
