• Philippe Bogard has been named strategic marketing manager of Nonlinear Dynamics (Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK), a provider of bioinformatics solutions. Bogard joins Nonlinear after nine years at GE Healthcare, previously Amersham Biosciences, where he worked in various product management positions. In that capacity, he was the main point of contact for product development and sales after Nonlinear Dynamics and Amersham Biosciences signed an OEM agreement in 1996. That remained the case until Nonlinear ended the agreement in 2002.

• Katherine O'Hara will join PerkinElmer (Boston) as senior vice president and general counsel, leading the company's legal and compliance functions, effective May 2. O'Hara most recently served as vice president and associate general counsel for Avon Products. Perkin Elmer makes products for the life and analytical sciences, optoelectronics and fluid sciences.
