¿ AlphaGene Inc., of Woburn, Mass., entered into an agreement with NEN Life Science Products Inc., of Boston, to develop gene expression microarrays on glass slides. The first is expected to be launched in April. NEN will market the product, called the Micromax System.

¿ DiagnoCure Inc., of Quebec City, said the FDA began examining the registration file on ImmunoCyt, a test for the early diagnosis of bladder cancer. The company said a decision is expected in 90 days. The system uses three monoclonal antibodies for detecting cell markers.

¿ Genomica Corp., of Boulder, Colo., was awarded a $100,000 grant from the National Cancer Institute to develop a system for analyzing gene expression for cancer gene discovery. The money is targeted toward Genomica¿s software suite product called Expression Manager.
