* Immunomedics Inc., of Morris Plains, N.J., said clinicaltrials of its CEA-Scan diagnostic showed the test detectedliver metastases in 15 of 19 patients with colorectalcancer. The company said the studies demonstrate thediagnostic, which is an antibody fragment labeled withtechnetium-99m, can be used to detect the spread ofcolorectal cancer. CEA-Scan has been submitted forapproval in the U.S., Canada and Europe as a diagnosticfor the disease.

* Perkin-Elmer Corp., of Norwalk, and the NationalCenter for Genome Resources, which houses a U.S.-government sponsored DNA sequence data base in SantaFe, N.M., have entered into a collaboration to developsoftware for handling the growing amount of geneticinformation available in public data bases.
