Cortech Inc. announced Thursday that David Crossen hasresigned as president and chief executive officer and is beingreplaced by Paul Jerde. "It is time for me to pursue otherinterests and look to new challenges," said Crossen, who will nolonger have an active role in the Denver company.

Jerde, a member of the company's executive, audit andcompensation committees, told BioWorld that he has been onboard at Cortech for nine years and has been very active in thecompany. He stressed that the change in leadership will notaffect the status of clinical trials or development.

Jerde was previously president, chief executive and director ofMountain Medical Equipment Inc., a medical devicemanufacturer.
