Bio-Rad Laboratories announced Tuesday that it has signed a$60 million revolving credit agreement with a group ofcommercial banks. First National Bank of Chicago, The Bank ofCalifornia, Societe Generale and Wells Fargo Bank will shareequally in the credit extended to the Hercules, Calif., company.

The unsecured agreement allows the company to take anynumber of loans and maintain an outstanding credit of up to$60 million.

The company (ASE:BIOA) will use the revolving credit line tofinance its business through 1997. Bio-Rad manufactures anddistributes thousands of life sciences research products,including separation and purification equipment for monoclonalantibodies, DNA sequencing enzymes, the Western blot HIV testand electrophoresis systems. -- Karl Thiel
