DNA Plant Technology Corp. of Cinnaminson, N.J., has launchedits Quantix environmental workstation commercially throughits Agri-Diagnostics Associates partnership.

The workstation is used for the rapid, on-site detection andmeasurement of gasoline contamination (benzene, tolulene,ethyl benzene, xylene or "total BTEX") in soil and groundwater.

Testing for BTEX has traditionally been conducted in off-sitelaboratories, a procedure that often adds expenses and delays.

Quantix provides accurate data on up to five samples of soiland/or groundwater within 30 minutes.
