AMEX INDEX SLIPS

The AMEX Biotechnology Stock Index closed Monday at 151.35,down 0.31. The CBOE Biotechnology Index didn't change much,either, slipping 0.22 to 146.21. Aramed Inc., up $2 a share to$43, was the only biotech stock to gain or lose more than $1.
