• Biophan Technologies (Pittsford, New York) reported the appointment of John Bowers as senior technologist for Myotech, a majority-owned subsidiary of Biophan. For the past ten years, Bowers has been a principal with Teknokon. Biophan makes technologies for the medical device industry. The company is helping to commercialize the Myotech circulatory support system.

• Cardinal Health (Dublin, Ohio) named Michael Kaufmann as group president of its healthcare supply chain services pharmaceutical segment. Kaufmann has spent the majority of his 17-year career with the company in senior operational, sales and finance roles within the pharmaceutical business. Cardinal Health focuses on making supply chains more efficient, reducing health care-associated infections and breaking the cycle of harmful medication errors

• DexCom (New York) said Jess Roper, finance director and interim CFO, will become VP and full-time CFO. Roper joined the company in March 2005 and has served as interim CFO since July 2007. DexCom makes blood sugar monitors.

• Isolagen (Exton, Pennsylvania) said that the company’s VP and corporate controller, Todd Greenspan, has been promoted to CFO and John Maslowski has been promoted to VP of operations. Greenspan will oversee the human resources, information technology and legal functions. Greenspan joined Isolagen in 2005. Maslowski joined Isolagen in 2005. Isolagen is an aesthetic and therapeutic company.

Patrick Goss was named director of consumer healthcare for Smartanalyst (New York). Previously, Goss was in customer marketing for American Express. Smartanalyst provides strategic research and analytics solutions for life science and consumer healthcare companies.

Michael Tokich was promoted to senior VP and CFO of Steris (Mentor, Ohio). Tokich joined Steris in 2000 and was most recently VP and corporate controller. Steris is a provider of infection prevention, decontamination and health science technologies, products and services.
