• Mark Heggestad has been named executive VP and CFO of American Medical Systems Holdings (AMS; Minneapolis). Heggestad was most recently VP of finance, cardiac surgery, defibrillation systems and pacing leads. AMS is a supplier of products used to cure erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, incontinence, menorrhagia, prolapse and other pelvic disorders in men and women.

Christopher Lindop has been named VP and CFO at Haemonetics (Braintree, Massachusetts), effective in January. Lindop, who was previously CFO at Inverness Medical Innovations, will replace Ronald Ryan, whose planned retirement was reported earlier this year. Lindop also serves as a director and chairman of the audit committee of Parexel International. Haemonetics manufactures automated blood processing systems.

Ross Goolsby was named CFO and senior VP of HealthTronics (Austin, Texas), effective Jan. 8. Goolsby previously served as the CFO, VP of finance and secretary of SigmaTel. HealthTronics provides healthcare services primarily to the urology community.

Vincent Abbott has been named VP of sales at Modern Solution (Carlsbad, California). Abbott was most recently with AMO-VISX. Modern Solutions is a patient referral and patient acquisition marketer for the refractive eye industry.
