Emerging Health Information Tech expands HQ

Emerging Health Information Technology (Yonkers, New York), a provider of healthcare information management solutions and a subsidiary of Montefiore Medical Center (New York), reported the build-out of its corporate facilities to include an additional 12,000 square feet of office space. The company currently occupies 59,000 square feet in the South Westchester Executive Park in Yonkers.

The company's employee growth rate has been between 20% and 25% per year since its founding in 2002. Last year, the company expanded the services it provides to existing customers, added new clients and developed new healthcare IT solutions.

The build-out is expected to be completed by July and will add 13 offices, 47 work stations, meeting areas and a large conference theater.

The company offers a comprehensive suite of clinical, financial and operations software and services that it said improve patient care, streamline business processes and enhance operating efficiency across the patient care continuum.

Firms select Therma to manufacture Cryomastor

Reflect Scientific (Mountain View, California), a manufacturer and distributor of laboratory equipment and related supplies to the life sciences industry, and Cryomastor (Hollister, California), a provider of refrigeration and cryogenic preservation products, reported that they have selected mechanical contractor and fabricator Therma (San Jose, California) to manufacture Cryomastor's new liquid nitrogen-based upright programmable cooling and cryogenic freezing system.

Therma has provided project and manufacturing process design to assemble Cryomastor's first production units and will continue this effort with streamlined manufacturing processes. This provides Cryomastor the capability to cost-effectively fabricate the base units and ramp up large-scale production with final assembly and certification testing taking place in Cryomastor's new laboratory and headquarters in Hollister.

Reflect Scientific has recently entered into an agreement and plan of merger with Cryomastor.

Biofield launches new web site

Biofield (Philadelphia) reported that it has launched a new web site, www.biofield.com, to showcase its new leadership and an expanded vision for rapid growth and global recognition. Elements of this expansion include a ramped-up marketing initiative to build distribution networks in the European Union, Hong Kong, Philippines and Korea, along with “aggressive” exploration of manufacturing partnerships in China, the company said.
