Creative BioMolecules Inc. (NASDAQ:CBMI) of Hopkinton, Mass.,announced Thursday that preclinical data presented at an FDAworkshop showed its platelet-derived growth factorsignificantly regenerates periodontal tissue in 88 percent ofprimates tested.

Data on the company's proprietary PDGF were presented by R.Bruce Rutherford, an associate professor of dentistry at theUniversity of Michigan School of Dentistry. The invitationalworkshop examined regulatory and scientific issues relating topreclinical and clinical trials of biologics for topical woundhealing.
