Disagreements over the implementation of Belmac Corp.'sstrategic plans led to the resignation of three of the Tampa, Fla.,company's executive officers on Friday.

Jean-Francois Rossignol has resigned as chairman and chiefexecutive officer. Also resigning were Max Huguet, chieffinancial officer, and Vittorio Ferraris, senior vice president forinternational operations, both based in France, the companysaid.

Ron Stewart was elected chairman of the board, and MichaelHarshbarger, president and chief operating officer, will takeover as CEO. The board also named its senior vice president andchief science officer, Robert Stote, a director and appointed himto the executive committee.

Belmac last week said it was considering several options abouthow to conduct Phase II and III trials of its transdermal anti-hemorrhoidal patch, Alphanon.
