Rob Michiels was named to the board of EDAP TMS (Lyon, France). Michiels replaces resigning board member, Jean-Philippe Deschamps. Michiels most recently was COO of CoreValve; and president/COO of InterVentional Technologies. EDAP TMS specializes in therapeutic ultrasound.

Geoffrey Crouse was named VP/COO of Immucor (Norcross, Georgia). Millipore previously was VP of the life sciences business at Millipore. Immucor provides automated instrument-reagent systems to the blood transfusion industry.

• Science Applications International (San Diego) said that Anthony Hess, PhD, was named business unit general manager of the company's Health Solutions business unit, effective Aug. 3. Hess most recently was CEO of HealthCare IT. Science Applications International is an engineering and applications company.

Edward Chadwick was named executive VP for finance and CFO of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center (Winston Salem, North Carolina). Chadwick was previously CFO and senior VP of Trinity Health. Wake Forest Baptist is an academic health system comprised of North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Brenner Children's Hospital, Wake Forest University Physicians, and Wake Forest University Health Sciences.
