Bruce Downey was named to the board of Cardinal Health (Dublin, Ohio). The position is effective upon the completion of the planned spinoff of CareFusion. Downey is the former chairman/CEO of Barr Pharmaceuticals, and past chairman of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association. Cardinal makes technologies, including Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis automated dispensing and patient identification systems, and MedMined electronic infection surveillance products.

• Delcath Systems (New York) said that Eamonn Hobbs, a member of the Delcath board since October 2008, has been named president/CEO. From 1988 until earlier this year, Hobbs was president/CEO of AngioDynamics. Delcath Systems specializes in treatments for metastatic cancer of the liver.

• PhotoMedex (Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania) said that Jeffrey O'Donnell, president/CEO, has resigned from the company and the board of directors to pursue other business interests. O'Donnell has led PhotoMedex since 1999. The board named Dennis McGrath as president/CEO, effective immediately. McGrath joined PhotoMedex in January 2000 as CFO. PhotoMedex develops dermatology products and techniques.

Patrice Nedelec was named VP of quality and regulatory affairs for Sunquest Information Systems (Tucson, Arizona). Nedelec was most recently director of quality and regulatory affairs at AMICAS. Sunquest is a laboratory and diagnostic information solutions provider.
